LICENSED CLINICAL SOCIAL WORKER

Ariel Taichman-Robins

I specialize in supporting women ages 18–35 who are navigating life transitions, anxiety, burnout, perfectionism, and struggles with eating and body image—creating space to untangle the overwhelm and get back to feeling like yourself again.

A message from Ariel

You might be feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or just off—like something isn’t working, even if you can’t quite name what it is. Maybe you're constantly overthinking, second-guessing your decisions, or holding yourself to impossibly high standards. Or perhaps you’re caught in cycles of worrying about food, body image, or trying to be perfect and productive, while feeling exhausted, anxious, or disconnected from yourself. Some clients come with many of these struggles, others with just one, but all share a sense that life feels more complicated and overwhelming than they expected.

In therapy, we’ll slow things down and take a closer look at what’s beneath the surface. What may feel like ‘bad habits’ often began as forms of self-protection. In our work, we’ll look at what they’ve done for you—and what you’re ready to do differently.

  • I became a therapist because I know what it feels like to appear composed on the outside while feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or unsure on the inside. Like many of my clients, I’ve spent years trying to  do everything “right” – staying in control, meeting expectations, chasing a sense of certainty – only to realize that chasing perfection often left me feeling more disconnected as nothing ever quite felt like “enough.”  I’m drawn to this work because I believe we all deserve space to reconnect with who we are beneath the roles, responsibilities, and pressures we carry.

In our work together, you can expect a warm, collaborative environment where all parts of you are welcome, including the ones that feel messy, unsure, or hard to talk about. My approach blends curiosity, compassion, and evidence-based practices like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Insight-Oriented Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). I show up as a human first and a therapist second - someone who’s engaged, honest, and not afraid to bring a little humor (or even a curse word) into the mix when it fits. Therapy does not have to be stiff or overly serious to be meaningful. Whether you’re navigating disordered eating, perfectionism, burnout, or just feeling like something's off, we’ll explore it with care and depth.
